I love the raw coolness of this photo. So beautiful, the color of the sea is amazingly rich and inviting. I miss the sea. When I lived in Australia I lived on the sea, way up in QLD in the rainforest.
I noticed your photo of the crocodile. I lived along the Daintree River in Far North QLD, Australia and saw crocs quite often. They are fascinating creatures, but I wouldn't want to swim with them. :) :) A lady was actually eaten while I was living there and she was a local woman.
NOW! I have to tell you I didn't realize that you had this photo site until I went to your page on Blog Catalog and explored a bit more. I LOVE these photos. I would hardly call you an amateur. They are excellent and I am going to have to come back more often to see what you post here.
I found the lone fisherman on the rock very moving. It told such an evocative story, even though it's a seemingly simple photo. VERY well done, my friend.
Queensland is beautiful, particularly the rainforest. The croc was menacing but I was safely protected by a fence thankfully. When I was in Oz, there was a story about a british tourist being eaten by a sea crocodile. I never set foot in the sea because if the stingers didn't get you the crocs would.
As for the photo blog, I have decided to have a go at photography but as yet I haven't had the chance to go out there yet, so I'm raiding some of my old photos for now. Mrs PM is being helpful (she is far better than I am and knows all the techy stuff) and allowed me to use her digital SLR - I need to get to grips with it. I just own a small camera - good for most purposes but lacking in other areas.
Thanks also for the kind comments about the fisherman - I am quite proud of that photo.
As I say, hopefully I will post some new photos soon. With coaching from Mrs PM I think this could be a really good hobby and a lot of fun.

Wow PM...the color of the sea is beautiful. And those clouds are gorgeous, too. An interesting pattern in them...
Hi Holly,
Yes - it's a fabulous blue. The sun was going down and the colours were superb.
Makes me wish I wasn't stuck in rainy Manchester
:-(
Cheers

Thanks Robin,
You're too kind.
