So it looks like the city is positioned in the "foothills," huh? I can see there are hillsides in the background. This is a really nice night photo! :o)

The skyscrapers are on Hong Kong Island, which has Victoria Peak bang in the middle of it. This gives great views of the skyscrapers from above and unsurprisingly, is one of the biggest tourist attractions in HK.
This photo was taken from Kowloon, another great place to see the skyline.
