This was my first photograph on this blog, taken in Port Douglas Australia, quite literally at the crack of dawn. I thought I would dust it off and share it with Skywatch fans.

After the first Coral sunsrise, I hung around for a bit to catch the sun a little higher in the sky. I actually prefer this photo. I hope you do too.

Welcome to my new amateur photography blog.

I have decided to try my hand at amateur photography in 2009, which is either very brave or very stupid. I haven't really got going yet so I've decided to publish a few photos from my existing collection.

This first photo was taken at the beach in Port Douglas, Australia as the sun rose over the Coral Sea.
